Sat Dec 13, 2008 at 02:02:41 PM by DjJayH
The Admins of the radio channels have had a pow wow and asked me to
post these guidelines for everyone so that there is no longer a
misunderstanding regarding the individual radio channels and their
purposes. Please read carefully and follow the guidelines set forth in
this bulletin.

1. Mix Radio
The
"Mix Radio" Channel is used for Mix shows that are uploaded to Capital
T for random play during the course of any given day. There will be no
set schedule for this channel. This channel is only used for those who
would like to submit a mix for play at Capital T's discretion and for
Djs that would like to run a show here on DITM but do not have a strong
enough connection to play on the "Live Radio". Contact Capital T for
more information on how you can submit your shows for random play in
the Mix Channel.

2. Live Radio Channel One
The
"LIVE" Radio Channel means just that. ONLY Live Shows will be scheduled
for this channel. If you are able to log into the stream and play your
shows live then you will and can be scheduled a show if you so desire.
ONLY the "Butts In The Seat Shows" will allowed to play on this channel
and ONLY during their scheduled show time. Please make sure that your
show is in one(1) hour increments and that you start and end your shows
on the hour. Your timely consideration will be appreciated by the Dj
that follows you. Contact Shadowfall, Russ Jones or I to be added to
the schedule for your LIVE show.

3. Secondary Live Channel
The
Secondary Live Channel are for those of you that feel like poppin' on
because there's a few ears that want to hear you. If you just have to
play some tunage and you know there are ears to listen, then by all
means have at it. Please be considerate to others and keep the timing
down to an hour, just in case someone else has the urge as well.

Thank
you all for being a part of this community and for taking the time to
share your love of music with everyone here. We all look forward to
hearing your shows and hope to hear many of you very soon.

Take Care, Stay Safe, and Have a Kick Ass Weekend!!!

MIX RADIO STREAM
Tue Nov 18, 2008 at 12:58:48 AM by CapitalT
Ok guys, I'm going to roll out the Mix radio again.. I keep cancelling it because i dont see any interest in it from OUR members.. If we aren't getting anymore than 3-4 listeners as a peak then to me that is a lack of interest..
The radio is as usual open TO ALL of our MEMBERS who wish to have their music in the rotation.. I have opted to change the format from the origional "trance only" to ALL the music available on the site from all members.. this will hopefully make it interesting for everyone who comes across our site/community.. and please promote the stream, post buletins, comments etc on all your social networks.. It is even listed in winamps radio streams, thats all i can do with out you guys..
Another change i am doing this time around (so i dont feel like i'm the only one trying to make it work) instead of me going through ALL the music on the site and downloading stuff randomly I am going to ask you guys to inform me of the music you want aired (this will eliminate some of the inactive members stuff on the site from taking up air time that can go to our active members) its only fair to those who make the effort.. I know some of you already have but so i dont leave anyone out for any reason please contact me again..

And as always make sure its good quality stuff.. i know everyone has their own taste and oppinion on what is good so i am going to leave it up to you, the dj to critique your own work so it is fair, i know i am super anal and maybe even to picky so if i do it some may not be happy, so to avoid all this i am leaving it up to you.. just ask yourself "would i listen to it"

Lets make this happen this time..

Problem with emailing system!
Sat Oct 25, 2008 at 08:56:59 PM by DjJayH
I'd like to apologise for the amount of emails each member got from us just recently. This is due to a bug on the email program and Jake is sorting this problem out now as I write this down.Once again I apologise and hopefully that will be the last time we have such an issue as that.

Sorry!!

Thanx To All!!
Wed Oct 15, 2008 at 12:51:32 PM by DjJayH
I'd personally like to thank everyone helping our site reach an amazing 500,000 views in 4 months. Please also thank Jake for the amount of hours he puts into the site programming and ironing out any bugs.I'd also like to personally thank Dj Rimski for playing on the live channel last night with short notice,I rang Rimski to have him play live as we reached the 500,000 mark.

Thank you all once again and as I always say please spread the word about the site to everyone you may think would like to join the bigger we grow the more vibrant the site will become.

Cheers To All

ODU.FM and DjsInTheMix.Net will no longer follow the "merger" path. We've decided it's best if we both stick to ourselves.

We wanted to combine with ODU.fm so that we would have more radio content on our site... but since that's not going to happen, we're going to restructure our radio system. We have appointed RussJones to manage the live radio schedule and CapitalT to mange the trance mix radio. We hope to soon get all 3 of our radio stations up and running 24/7.

We love all of our members and you guys are helping a lot! But I beg you, PLEASE, PLEASE, can you post some extra bulletins up for DjsInTheMix.Net?

Thanks,
Jake
MusicBase
Fri Aug 1, 2008 at 04:37:31 PM by Jake
The MusicBase is online now! Think of it as DjsInTheMix minus all of the user things, just pure music.

MusicBase is only about 60% done but I'm tired of working on it right now. It'll get much better.
Updates
Thu Jul 31, 2008 at 04:18:37 PM by Jake
There are a few features on their way so we need all of our members to update the genres on their files. Even if you set it before, it needs to be reset again because there is a new way that the music is categorized. You will love the new things, expect them tomorrow or Saturday! :)

Hi Everyone,

As you can now see we have a few affiliations with other websites especially Beatport. As a member of Beatport and Audiojelly myself I thoroughly recomend their services for the use of downloadable tracks.

The playlist players seem to be causing a few headaches. All you need to do is go to a deejays profile and click the small circle on the right of the track or mix you wish to add to your playlist.A new option opens up from there you can add to playlist or you can download the mix/track if it is enabled to download.
Hope that helps!!!

Major New Music Feature
Tue Jul 22, 2008 at 02:01:26 AM by Jake
You can now add remote music to your player!

What does this mean? If you are hosting your track/mix on your own server or another site you can use the direct mp3 link (starts with http:// ends with .mp3) and add it to your player. This will allow people to listen to your music from DJsInTheMix without using your own space!
