It is great to see the enthusiasm building within the community in
such a short time... I truly believe that this can be one of the best
community sites anywhere.

For those who do not
yet know, Di (Essence) and I have been asked to administer the radio
portions of DJITM because of our experience at ODU.FM. We are proud to
take on this role and will endeavor to bring continuity and consistency
to the sound of the site. This being said, there are a few new
guidelines that we all need to follow.

1.
Show lengths must be in increments of one hour. If you are scheduled
with a show length that is 1:30 for example, you will need to decide if
you wish to play for 1 or 2 hours.

2. Show start times must begin at the top of the hour.

3.
Show lengths must not exceed the scheduled time. This shows
consideration to all who would follow your show, and helps to raise the
professional level shown to all present and future member and visitors.

4. To have a slot on Live Radio 1, you must have a strong enough internet connection to maintain a consistent stream.

5.
It is highly encouraged that you interact in the chat room during your
broadcasts and make sure to tell all of your friends to come along too!

1. Contact Dj Capitol T to schedule your show time.

2.
Show lengths must be in increments of one hour. Please be considerate
of the schedule by making sure your mixes are tight to the top of the
hour.

3. Make sure your mixes are uploaded at least 2 days before your scheduled run date.

Live
Radio 2 will remain unscheduled for the present time to allow for
continued random connections. Please consult with admins in the chat
room to ensure that random broadcasts are not conflicting with other
plans.

You may have noticed that Live Radio 1
has a new sound during off-scheduled times. This is because we are now
streaming directly from ODU.FM to help maintain a constant flow of a
variety of music on the site. 

We realize that
these rules will cause some to reschedule and retool how the do their
shows, but in the interest of fairness and consistency for all it is
best to make these changes now, before the schedule for Live Radio 1
gets any fuller. Thank you for your understanding, and I hope to hear
you on our radio channels soon!!
